FarCargo from the Faroe Islands Commences Operations to the USA

Far Cargo, a subsidiary of Bakka frost, has brought its aircraft to Copenhagen, and it's set to be registered as SE-RLE in the Swedish aircraft registry before starting its operations. The airline has a cooperation agreement with the Swedish company West Atlantic Sweden AB, which currently holds the necessary flight permits. Although FarCargo currently relies on West Atlantic Sweden AB for flight permits, the plan is to secure its own permits in the future.

The aircraft, named "Eysturoy," is a Boeing 757-200 with a cargo capacity of 34 tonnes. It made its way over the Faroe Islands on its journey from the USA to Copenhagen. FarCargo's objective is to conduct flights from Vagar to Newark in New Jersey, with layovers in Keflavik and Billund. The primary cargo for these flights will be fresh salmon destined for various markets, especially in the USA. Initially, the airline is planning a few departures each week, with potential plans to increase the frequency over time.
