Mirvish Theatre Presents the 2024/25 Season: Featuring MOULIN ROUGE! and BACK TO THE FUTURE

 




Mirvish has unveiled its lineup for the 2024-25 Main Subscription Season, featuring seven exciting productions.

Among these shows are two beloved Toronto favorites: Disney's The Lion King and Mamma Mia!. Both originally opened in Toronto in 2000 and enjoyed successful runs lasting four and five years, respectively. Nearly 25 years later, they return to captivate a new generation of theater enthusiasts.

The remaining five productions are all new, having garnered acclaim in London and/or New York.

David Mirvish, speaking on behalf of the company, expressed gratitude to their subscribers, highlighting their crucial role in supporting theater and enabling Mirvish to take creative risks. With a subscription audience of 40,000, Mirvish boasts the largest subscriber base in North America.

The 2024-25 Main Subscription Season promises to be a mesmerizing journey, showcasing diverse stories and imaginative productions.

The season kicks off with the magical realism of Life of Pi, a stage adaptation of Yann Martel’s acclaimed novel, followed by the return of the beloved Mamma Mia!, sure to charm audiences once again with its infectious energy and ABBA hits.

Disney's The Lion King, a monumental achievement in musical theater, will also grace the stage, promising to inspire and enthrall audiences with its iconic story and groundbreaking production.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical, a dynamic adaptation of the Oscar-winning film, and Beetlejuice, based on Tim Burton's iconic movie, bring fresh energy and irreverent humor to the lineup.

Additionally, Back to the Future: The Musical, a spectacle of stagecraft and nostalgia, will delight audiences with its innovative storytelling and memorable soundtrack.

Mirvish is in negotiations for the seventh show of the season, promising something truly special for audiences to anticipate.
